'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine. She further said: We went to Medina and I had an attack of fever for a month, and my hair had come down to the earlobes. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She took hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have share in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah's Messenger (, may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him.

Si AISHA po MISMO ang NAGSASALITA sa HADITH na IYAN.

Ayon kay AISHA, 6-YEARS-OLD SIYA noong GAWIN SIYANG ASAWA ng PROPETA ng ISLAM at 9-YEARS-OLD noong DALHIN sa BAHAY ng KANILANG PROPETA. DIYAN na SIYA SINIPINGAN ng PROPETA ng ISLAM.


Baka sabihin ni ABDULLAH at iba pang BALIK ISLAM na WALA NAMANG SINABI RIYAN na SINIPINGAN na ng PROPETA NILA si AISHA. HETO po ang SABI ni AISHA sa IBANG HADITH. Ayon naman po ito kay SUNAN DAWUD at si AISHA mismo ang NAGSASALITA:

A ten year old girl has been married off to an 80 year old man in Saudi Arabia.

The girl had absconded from her husbands home and sought refuge with her aunt. However, the girl’s father located her last weekend and returned her to her geriatric spouse.

“My marriage is not against Shariah. It included the elements of acceptance and response by the father of the bride,” the husband told local Saudi press.

He also informed them that he was originally engaged to his wife’s elder sister but she wanted to remain in school so the father of the girls offered the younger child instead.

“Her father offered his younger daughter. I was allowed to have a look at her according to Shariah and found her acceptable,” he said.

One of Saudi’s chief cleric’s Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh recently gave this statement concerning child marriage:

“It is incorrect to say that it’s not permitted to marry off girls who are 15 and younger,” said the grand mufti “A girl aged 10 or 12 can be married. Those who think she’s too young are wrong, and they are being unfair to her.”
“We hear a lot in the media about the marriage of underage girls,” he told reporters. “We should know that sharia law has not brought injustice to women.”

The Saudi marriage officiant Dr. Ahmad al-Mu’bi said in a Lebanese TV interview last year that it’s acceptable to marry a child bride as young as one year old.

“there is no minimal age for entering marriage.” he said “You can have a marriage contract even with a 1-year-old girl, not to mention a girl of 9, 7 or 8,”

“But is the girl ready for sex or not?” he continued. “What is the appropriate age for sex for the first time? This varies according to environment and tradition,”

There is nothing wrong with your marrying this girl, even though there is this difference in age between you. What matters is that she should be religiously committed and of good character. These are what matters when it comes to marriage, and are the factors that lead to harmony and happiness in sha Allaah.

The validity of marriage to a minor girl is proven by the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):

“And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubt (about their periods), is three months; and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]”

[al-Talaaq 65:4]

So the ‘iddah for those who do not menstruate because they are too young is three months, and ‘iddah has to do with divorce after getting married, which indicates that the girls in question has been married and divorced.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) when she was six years old, and he consummated the marriage with her when she was nine, and at that time he was over fifty.

Al-Bukhaari (3894) and Muslim (1422) narrated that ‘Aa’ishah said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married me when I was six years old and consummated the marriage with me when I was nine.

A girl who is thirteen years old may have reached the age of puberty, in which case her consent is essential according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A previously-married woman should not be married until she has been consulted, and a virgin should not be married until her permission has been sought.” They said: “O Messenger of Allaah, what is her permission?” He said: “If she remains silent.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5136; Muslim, 1419, from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him). If she has not reached the age of puberty, then her father has the sole right to arrange her marriage and does not have to ask her permission.

Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: With regard to a virgin who is still a minor, there is no difference of opinion concerning her (i.e., that her father may marry her off even if she objects).
