Indeed, the Lord Jesus was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel, as He Himself says in Matthew 15:24. This is to fulfill the promise of God that He would send to the Israelites a prophet like Moses. (Deuteronomy 18:18)

But the question is: Did the mission of the Lord Jesus end there?

No. While He was sent to seek the lost sheep of Israel, His work went beyond it.

The Lord Jesus was sent to Israelt to fulfill all prophecies. Later, He sent His disciples to "make disciples of all nations" and to teach them all that He had commanded. (Matthew 28:19-20)

He said to His followers in John 20:21, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me [to the lost sheep of Israel], so I send you [to all nations]."

First was Israel because it was the chosen people through which God would become man and save the world. Then, the world.

As Psalms 67 says:
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah, that your way may be known upon earth, your saving power AMONG ALL NATIONS.

Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Selah
